Day trip rediscovering a forgotten canoe route. 1 of Canada's southernmost paddling routes, Otter Creek is a long winding Creek that was used as a canoe route by Native tribes pre-1650 and thne by early explorers & settlers until the early 1800's. Then it was largely forgotten except by a few locals for 180 years. Seldom traveled, Otter Creek is mainly calm slow moving water with the odd swift to up the adventure a little. It's lined with lush rare Carolinian Forest including some old growth trees, hundreds of years old. Winding south there are few signs of civilization save from historic old iron bridges. For Nature lovers, cultural adventurers & paddlers lookimng to get away from it all.
After a relaxing paddle finish your adventure with a visit to in rural Oxford County. It's a step back in Time.

Skill level: Intermediate - skilled. Route is a little advanced for Novices
Available: every weekend May - November (any day for groups of 6 or more)
