Executing Perfection: Behind the Scenes of Our Large-Scale Corporate Event with Google
When you spend months coordinating a complex corporate outing, the goal is always a seamless experience for the guests. Behind the scenes, however, moving large groups down the river requires meticulous planning, precise timing, and rapid logistical resets.
In July we had the privilege of hosting a massive corporate event for Google, launching 80 guests across two separate cohorts. From the first launch in the morning to the final boat pulled off the water, the day unfolded as a masterclass in event execution.

Launching Cohort One
The key to running large group outings is momentum. High-energy corporate groups want to transition from arrival to the water without unnecessary waiting around.
Our morning crew set the tone for the entire day. Within just ten minutes of stepping onto the grounds, our first cohort of 40 guests was fitted, briefed, and safely launched down the river. The morning trip went off without a hitch, setting a high standard for the schedule ahead.
The Midday Reset and Catering
While Cohort One enjoyed their time on the water, the midpoint of the day required a split focus: providing a great hospitality experience for our guests while simultaneously pulling off our biggest logistical challenge behind the scenes.
As group one wrapped up their run, they joined the arriving second group for a catered lunch provided by Bingemans. While both cohorts refueled and connected on land, our operations team went to work.
To prepare for the afternoon session, we had to reset our entire fleet. Our crew shuttled all 25 boats back upriver to the launch point, re-staging the equipment and getting every craft inspected and ready for the second half of the day.
Wrapping Up Ahead of Schedule
With the boats reset and Cohort Two ready to hit the water, the afternoon run launched with the same speed and efficiency as the morning session. The afternoon group completed their trip smoothly, coming off the water even ahead of schedule.
Hosting an event of this scale requires seamless collaboration between multiple teams. A huge thank you to everyone on our crew who worked hard on the water and behind the scenes, and a special shoutout to Olivia Barber, who spent months coordinating the moving parts between Google, Bingemans, and our team.
It was a monumental day from every aspect, and a great reminder of what careful preparation and a great team can accomplish.
