Your Safety is Our Business
At Grand Experiences, safety is our top priority. Continuously operating since 1997, we’re proud to maintain an outstanding safety record. Over the past two decades, we’ve guided more than 180,000 paddlers on thousands of trips—serving individuals, families, schools, scout groups, corporate clients, and community organizations—without a single accident requiring medical attention.
Why Our Safety Record Stands Out:
Unmatched Local Experience
No outfitter has more hands-on experience on the Grand and Nith Rivers.
Trained, Certified Staff
All guides are experienced and certified through Paddle Canada, with many serving as instructors.
Real-Time River Monitoring
We partner with the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA), using flow rate and temperature data to assess conditions daily.
Advanced Weather Tracking
With over 20 years of radar and meteorological monitoring expertise, we only launch trips in safe weather conditions.
Pre-Trip Safety Orientation
Every trip includes a safety briefing and skills orientation tailored to the group’s experience level.
