To help streamline your check-in and get you on the water faster, please complete your waiver form in advance and have it ready to hand to a Grand Experiences staff member upon arrival. All participants are required to sign a waiver before launching. For minors, a parent or legal guardian must sign on their behalf. Find the waiver form here.
✅ What to Expect on Your Trip
Trip Times
The time on your booking confirmation is your arrival time at the meeting location. It does not indicate the time you’ll be launching onto the water. On busy days, please expect short delays as we prepare and shuttle all guests safely.
What We Provide
- Life jacket (PFD)
- Paddle
- Boat (canoe, kayak, or tube depending on your package)
- Return shuttle (if included in your trip)
⚠️ Please ensure all gear is returned to Grand Experiences staff at the end of your trip.
What to Wear
Dress for the weather and the water:
- Avoid heavy cotton like jeans or sweatshirts
- Choose fast-drying, synthetic clothing
- Water shoes, sandals with straps, or old running shoes are ideal
- Avoid flip flops, Crocs, or slip-ons that fall off easily
Other Essentials
Bring:
- Reusable water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Hat and sunglasses (with a strap if possible)
- Dry change of clothes for after your trip
📍 Trip-Specific Instructions
Bingemans Park – Self-Guided Tubing, Kayaking, or Canoeing
Meeting Location:
Grand Experiences Pavilion – Bingemans Park, located at: 📍 43.4760178, -80.4501085
There is ample free parking available at the Pavilion.
Trip Finish:
All trips end back at our on-site dock within Bingemans Park.
Notes:
- Restrooms and food vendors available on-site at Bingemans
- This is a great spot to enjoy other attractions like FunworX or Big Splash after your paddle!
Paris to Brantford – Self-Guided
Meeting Location:
Launch from behind our shop at 109 Grand River St. N., Paris, ON.
Short-term parking is available near the shop (max 3 hrs). For all-day parking, use Syl Apps Community Centre at 51 William St., then walk across the bridge and down the laneway behind the shop.
Return Shuttle Times:
12:30 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM
⚠️ Final shuttle departs at 5:00 PM. Missed shuttles result in an extra day rental charge.
Cambridge to Paris – Self-Guided
Meeting Location:
Syl Apps Community Centre, 51 William St., Paris, ON.
Free all-day parking and washrooms are available.
Return Deadline:
⚠️ Return before 5:30 PM to avoid an additional day’s rental charge.
Glen Morris to Paris – Self-Guided
Meeting Location:
Meet your guide at Syl Apps Community Centre (51 William St., Paris). You’ll be shuttled to Glen Morris for launch.
Grand River Experience – Guided
Meeting Location:
Park at Syl Apps Community Centre and walk to our shop at 109 Grand River St. N.
Access the launch via the laneway north of our building.
Shuttle Info:
Return shuttle from Brant Park at 12:30 PM.
Big Creek Eco-Adventure – Guided
Meeting Location:
Port Rowan Harbour, 40 Sea Queen Rd., Port Rowan.
Facilities available. Your guide, Sarah, will meet and escort you to the Big Creek launch.
Trip Route:
Paddle Big Creek and Long Point Bay, returning to Port Rowan Harbour.
Learning to Paddle – Instructional
Meeting Location:
Brant Park Conservation Area, 119 Jennings Rd., Brantford.
Meet at Public Canoe Landing B. Ask the gate attendant for directions.
Shuttle Info
Return shuttle from Brant Park.
Long Point Sea Kayak Adventure – Guided
Meeting Location:
Long Point Provincial Park boat launch (just past the main gate).
Parking available.
Overnight Canoe Camping Trip – Self-Guided
Meeting Location:
Brant Park Canoe Launch B, 119 Jennings Rd., Brantford.
We’ll shuttle you to Paris for launch. You’ll paddle back to the campground.
Camping Check-In:
After your paddle (check-in opens after 11:00 AM).
Upper Nith River Experience – Guided
Meeting Location:
Meet your guide in Drumbo (Main St. near the pharmacy).
You’ll follow our vehicle to park at the takeout in Canning before being shuttled to the launch.
