Your participation in any Grand Experiences activity implies your acceptance of the following terms. All participants of legal age must complete and sign a waiver form prior to the start of their activity. For minors, a parent or legal guardian must complete and sign the form on their behalf.
Rental Terms & Conditions
- Code of Conduct: Guides and staff are to be treated with respect. Verbal or physical harassment toward Grand Experiences staff will not be tolerated and may lead to the trip cancellation, as well as potential legal action.
- Return Policy: We collect all gear from the trip takeout points by 5:00 PM. Failure to complete your trip and have equipment ready for pickup by this time will result in a second day rental charge.
- Condition of Equipment: The renter agrees to return all items in as good condition as when received (ordinary wear & tear expected) or agrees to reimburse the rental agent the full value of each item or the cost of returning each item to its original condition.
- Lifejackets: All participants agree to wear a Canadian Coast Guard approved lifejacket at all times while participating.
- Self-Guided Trips: I understand that this is a self-guided trip and I am responsible for returning to the designated Grand Experiences takeout point (Brant Park, Penman’s Dam Park, Bingemans Park). Failing to return at the designated takeout will result in a $250 equipment recovery fee.
- Alcohol & Drugs: I understand that the transportation, consumption, and disposal of alcohol during equipment rental times is strictly prohibited. Grand Experiences reserves the right to refuse service to anyone that we feel is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Suspicion of being under the influence may result in either a rescheduling of the event or removal from the premises.
- Voluntary Participation: Participation in all activities is voluntary, and participants assume responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage incurred.
Acknowledgment of Risk, Release of Liability, and Media Release
Read Before Signing:
1. Assumption of Risk: I acknowledge that all associated services offered by Grand Experiences hold areas of risk which are beyond the control of Grand Experiences. I acknowledge and accept all risks associated with participating in paddling and outdoor activities offered by Grand Experiences.
2. Release of Liability: I hereby release and forever discharge Grand Experiences (also known as Grand Experiences Outdoor Adventure), its respective servants, agents, or employees from any claim, actions, or causes of actions of every nature or kind whatsoever, however caused, arising out of, or in any way connected with the renting of equipment, notwithstanding that the same may have arisen by reasons of negligence of Grand Experiences, its respective servants, agents, and employees.
3. Responsibility: I agree that I am fully responsible for all rented equipment and that I will remunerate Grand Experiences for all losses or damages incurred by me. I am responsible for myself and any minor children accompanying me.
4. Binding Agreement: I declare that this release is binding upon my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, and me.
5. Media Release: I hereby authorize any images or video footage taken of myself or my youth (under 18 years of age), in whole or in part, individually or in conjunction with other images and video footage, to be displayed on the Grand Experiences Website and other official channels, and to be used for media purposes including promotional presentations and marketing campaigns. I waive rights to privacy and compensation which I may have in connection with such use of my or my youth’s name and likeness.
