Booking & Cancellation: Fairness & Flexibility

We want your booking process to be as smooth as your paddle. Here is how we handle payments and changes to ensure fairness for our guests and our guides.

Securing Your Spot

To reserve your adventure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

  • Large Groups: For invoices over $800, a 50% deposit secures your date, with the balance due before your trip begins.

When Plans Change (Cancellation Policy)

We understand that life happens. Here is how we handle adjustments:

  • 48+ Hours Notice: If you need to cancel at least 48 hours before your trip, you have two flexible options:
    • Gift Certificate: Receive 100% of your payment as a credit that never expires.
    • Refund: If you prefer a refund, we will return the total value, less a processing fee (4-10%).
  • 48 to 24 Hours Notice: We’ve already started prepping for your arrival. Cancellations in this window incur a 25% fee, with the remaining balance issued as a Gift Certificate.
  • Less Than 24 Hours / No-Shows: Because your guides and gear are fully staged and waiting for you, cancellations within 24 hours (or failure to arrive) forfeit the full cost of the trip.
  • Third-Party Packages: If your trip includes meals or accommodations, the cancellation policies of those specific partners will apply.

Weather & Safety

We monitor the weather constantly so you don’t have to.

  • If We Cancel: If conditions are unsafe (e.g., lightning, high winds, radar warnings), we reserve the right to cancel. In this case, we will happily reschedule you or issue a Gift Certificate for a future trip.
  • If You Cancel: If you choose to cancel due to weather when we have deemed it safe to proceed, eligibility for a credit depends on compliance with our specific Weather Policy.

At Grand Experiences, we want booking your adventure to be simple and worry-free.
