Your Guide to a Stress-Free Adventure
Adventures made easy
You have booked the trip. You have marked the calendar. Now, the questions start: What do I wear? What if it rains? Where do I put my keys?
At Grand Experiences, we believe the adventure should be exciting, not the preparation. We have handled the logistics—the boats, the shuttles, and the routes. Here is everything you need to know to show up ready to enjoy it.
Follow these easy steps
1. The Paperwork (The Boring Part)
We kept it simple so you can keep moving. To get you on the water faster, we require all waivers to be signed electronically or printed before you arrive. Check your email confirmation for the link.
- Minors: Must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
- Groups: Forward the link to everyone in your party.
2. What We Provide
Top-tier gear, ready to go. You don’t need to own a garage full of equipment to explore the Grand. We supply:
- The Boat: Canadian-made canoes and kayaks chosen for stability and comfort.
- The Safety Gear: High-quality, fitted PFDs (Life Jackets) and safety kits.
- The Shuttle: Reliable transport to or from your launch point.
3. What You Should Bring
Pack light, pack smart. You are heading into the outdoors. You will likely get a little wet (it’s part of the fun).
- Footwear: Water shoes, sandals with straps, or old running shoes. Avoid flip-flops—the river loves to steal them.
- Clothing: Dress for the weather. Quick-dry synthetics are best. Avoid heavy cotton (like jeans) which gets cold and heavy when wet.
- Essentials: Water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses (with a strap), and a hat.
- Valuables: We recommend leaving non-essentials in your vehicle. For keys and phones, bring a quality dry bag or waterproof case.
4. Arrival & Timing
Respect the River Clock. Your booking time is your arrival time, not your launch time. This allows us to get you checked in, fitted for gear, and shuttled safely.
- Be Early: Arriving 15 minutes before your slot helps the day run smoothly.
- Parking: Specific parking details are in your confirmation email, depending on your launch point (Paris, Brant Park, or Glen Morris).
5. Weather & Safety
We watch the sky so you don’t have to. Adam and our team monitor river conditions and weather forecasts daily.
Storms: If conditions are unsafe (lightning or high water), we will contact you to reschedule or refund. Safety is our only non-negotiable.
Rain: We paddle in light rain! It’s nature, after all.
