The Big Creek Plan
- Arrive Prepared Since there are no facilities at the launch or take-out, please use the public washrooms at the Port Rowan Marina or the nearby Esso station before you meet us.
- Park at the Finish Line Meet us at the landing parking lot in Port Royal (near 2717 Lakeshore Rd #2695). You will leave your vehicle here so it is waiting for you the moment your trip ends.
- Shuttle & Paddle We will shuttle you upriver to the launch site. From there, you simply follow the winding current downstream, paddling back to your car.

Need to Know
- Restrooms: There are no facilities at the launch or take-out. Please use the nearby Esso station or the public washrooms at the Port Rowan Marina before you arrive.
- Meeting Location: The landing parking lot at the bridge on Lakeshore Road in Port Royal (near 2717 Lakeshore Rd, Port Rowan).
What to Bring
- The Essentials: Reusable water bottle, snacks/lunch, sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses (add a strap!).
- For the Forest: Insect repellant (highly recommended for the lush “Amazon” environment).
- Footwear: Water shoes, sandals with straps, or old running shoes. Please avoid flip-flops or Crocs—they fall off easily.
- Clothing: Choose fast-drying, synthetic fabrics. Avoid heavy cotton (like jeans or sweatshirts) that get heavy and cold when wet.
- For the Car: A dry change of clothes waiting for you at the end of the day.
