Weekend getaway exploring Big Creek, Canada's southern-most near wilderness canoe route, in Ontario's South Coast Region in Norfolk County . Big Creek feels like the Amazon, with deep, slow moving water, flowing under a canopy of trees that looks like a southern rain forest. A very intimate paddle this narrow winding river flows through a remote little known area in southern Ontario including Big Creek National Wildlife and Long Point World Biosphere. Overhanging rare Carolinian Trees tower over the depths of the waters, giving this special place an exotic almost tropical aura.
Our getaway includes shuttle service to and from overnight accommodation at the Historic Arlington Hotel in nearby Paris, Ontario, one of the prettiest towns in Canada.
