The Mohawk Run, a 5 hour self guided journey launching from Brant Conservation Area paddling downstream with a modest current through Carolinian forested riverbanks, home to rare osprey & blue herons and towering Canadian wild hemp crowding the shore. Paddle thru Brant's Crossing where Chief Joseph Brant led his people here over 200 years ago.Along the route you'll also find Alexander Graham Bell's homestead from the 1870's & enter the Oxbow where the Grand deepens & widens with rare Carolinian flora & fauna. Along with the Natural there's abundant Settlement & Aboriginl history. Paddle thru Brant's Crossing named for famous Mohawk War Chief Joseph Brant who led the Iroquois across the Grand River after the American Revolution.
Land at Cockshutt Bridge just south of Brantford. Your launch guide or shuttle driver can tell you the legend of the War of 1812 Battle fought at the Grand River.

Suitable for intermediate paddler. Includes all paddling equipment. Trip is available all season, May to November.
